Fun and Scary Halloween Recipes - Brains on the Half Skull

We have had a lot of our customers ask how they can use our products in recipes for upcoming Halloween parties and kid events. Over the next few weeks, I would like to share some tasty, yet "scary" Halloween recipes. Some of these recipes will even have dried cherries, cherry juice and more included in the recipe. The goal of all of the recipes I'll be sharing is they will bring Halloween to your kitchen. Making these scary recipes are fun for both adult and kids. We hope you enjoy these Spooky and Scary Halloween recipes posted over the next few weeks. This easy-to-make recipe is a great Halloween meal you can serve to your kids before they go trick-or-treating. It will set the mood nicely for them before they hit the streets in their ghoulish costumes. What you need: 2 medium-sized potatoes 1 - 8 oz. package thin spaghetti 1 - 14 oz jar or can of spaghetti sauce 1 - 8 oz. bag of dried cherries How to make it: Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit Wash the potatoes and cut them in half lengthwise. Place potatoes, cut side up, on a baking dish. Bake for 40 minutes. While the potatoes are baking, prepare the spaghetti according to package directions, drain. A few minutes before the potatoes are ready, begin to heat the spaghetti sauce in a small pot. Remove the potatoes from the oven. Then scoop out the insides of the potato. The empty potato skins will serve as the skulls. When the sauce begins to boil, remove it from the heat and mix in the spaghetti noodles to make brains. Place a scoop of bloody brains in each skull and serve. Sprinkle the dried cherries around the finished potatoes to give a more "brainy" look. If you need more than 4 servings, add one medium potato for every two servings and increase sauce and noodles according to your size family or guests.
